10 TEST SOLVING SECRETS FOR TAKING THE SAT
1. Do not spend too much time on one question. All the questions are worth the same score. Try to go through as many questions as possible.
2. Understand the basics fully. Although the new SAT includes some Algebra II questions, most of the SAT questions are Junior high school level. If you understand the 11th grade level concepts, you would not have a hard time on the new SAT materials.
3. Do not choose the word that you do not understand. Many students think that the word they do not know would be the correct answer but it is usually a trap in SAT
4.Get familiar with the patterns of SAT by spending time on practice tests. Understand what the questions are asking you. Try as many practice questions as possible before taking an actual SAT.
5. Do not talk during the break time. Save your energy for the next sections.
6. If you forget Math equations, go back to the beginning of the section. They give you the basic formulas at the beginning of each section.
7. In critical reading sections, always read the questions accurately. Make sure you double check your answer with the passages.
8. Sleep well before the test day.
9. Avoid absurd mistakes. Do not spend time with the questions that you do not know. Double check your answers and the keywords of the questions.
10. Relax. Try to relax and focus on the question you are currently working on rather than the ones that you already solved or the ones that you will solve after.
