The long-awaited i-Gun update has been declined multiple times in a row for very minute reasons.
1. Apple told us the images from the shooting range mode are objectionable.
Well, we can name out at least a dozen games that are now on the Top 100 Action Game ranking that are associated with direct targeting and shooting of human figures, some even with expression of gore and blood. If FPS games like Doom, Modern Combat, or several sniper games are in the App Store, it’s difficult to imagine why we can’t use human targets. Apple, please let us expect some consistency in your review process.
2. Apple thinks i-Gun cash pop-up looks much like In-App Purchase, thus leading to user confusion.
Are they seriously thinking that people will buy the silencer for $1000 Cash? (We can’t be happier if they did.) In any case, we’ve decided to change the symbol for the currency. So, from the next version, you’ll see 1,000G (as in gold), not $1,000. Also, we have made a custom-designed pop-up window to minimize potential user confusion (if there had been any).
3. and some technical stuff…
A line of code which has never been any problem in the past couple updates was detected, and Apple said no-no, even though it only affects those with illegal cracked copies of i-Gun by shutting down the application (no calling home, so don’t worry).
We can’t emphasize enough that we’re very much disappointed with Apple’s continued disapproval of i-Gun update.
In the meanwhile, we have two more updates already being developed for the near future, so stay tuned, and happy shooting!
